The second week following the Japanese PS Vita price drop showed continued strong sales as the device actually climbed from 62,543 units sold to 63,581 units. Enough to have Vita edge combined sales of 3DS and 3DS XL to claim number one in the weekly hardware charts.

The Vita was not only helped by the lowered price as long awaited action-RPG Soul Sacrifice (designed by Keiji Inafune) saw release to claim second place in software with 92,396 copies sold.
