Variety Magazine (via Empire Magazine) is reporting that a movie adaptation of Capcom's Devil May Cry is being scripted, after company Screen Gems bought the feature film rights.
The article reportedly points writing duties to Kyle Ward, who also penned the movie versions of Hitman 2 and Kane & Lynch, two films that have yet to see light of day, so we can't confirm whether he's better at nailing the tone of gaming adaptations than Paul W.S Anderson. It should be noted that Screen Gems was responsible for the Resident Evil movies as well.
Wonder whether they'll go for the classic Dante character or Ninja Theory's re-envisioning of the character?
