Polish developers Techland, best known for the Call of Juarez series and most recently Nail'd, have revealed that they are working with publisher Deep Silver on Dead Island - a game many thought lost at sea. The premise is simple, zombies have taken over a sunny holiday resort and your job is to dispose of the garbage. When the game was first shown way back at Games Convention in 2007 it came across as a Dead Rising mixed with a first person shooter.

Dead Island is being developed for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and is targeted for release later this year. We also have it on good authority that the game will be present in San Francisco for GDC in some shape and hope to report back with impressions in a couple of weeks time.

REVIEW. Written by Jonas Mäki (Gamereactor Sweden)

"Later escort missions are troublesome, as it feels as though Techland has equipped the NPCs with the same artificial intelligence as the zombies by mistake."
