Chris Metzen from Blizzard Entertainment made an appearance at Sony's press conference tonight. He was on hand to reveal that Blizzard and Sony have entered into a strategic partnership that he joked was going to "take over the world".
Metzen reminded us that Blizzard started life working on console games, before going on to reveal that the now PC-based studio are bringing Diablo III to Sony's new console, as well as bringing the game to Playstation 3. There'll be four player co-op on one screen, and they're reworking the controls for Dualshock 4, perfect for those who love Diablo but prefer a controller in hand rather than a mouse.
The Devil is in the detail, as hell heads to Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
"Diablo III delivers that gameplay that has kept us playing throughout the entire night with previous chapters."
The game is officially sunset, but that doesn't mean fans won't have a couple of new things to enjoy.
Diablo III players will be able to unlock new seasonal rewards next week, with the release of season 18.
With new content comes a new free trial.
