Revenues generated by Xbox Live Arcade have doubled over the last year, with Microsoft's digital marketplace making a cool $290m USD (that's roughly £183.3m in GBP) over the last twelve months.
A big chunk of that money came via the Xbox version of Minecraft, which accounted for nearly a third of the total figure. Needless to say it's the most popular game to have appeared on XBLA, and it was able reach that status in just three weeks. The game has sold just shy of 5m copies on the platform to date.
Other notable releases from 2012 include Trials Evolution and The Walking Dead, but after the top three the numbers start to drop off somewhat, according to the stats from market research group, Fade.
