Once the Crysis trilogy has been completed - when Crysis 3 is launched on February 22 - it seems that Crytek has plans to push the series in a new direction, after suggesting that they want to take the IP "into a new space."

As producer Mike Read discussed with our very own Bengt Lemne last year, the series was always intended to be a trilogy. The Crysis 3 producer confidently stated: "we have a lot of juice left in the IP to do some cool stuff and take it further."

Read recently spoke to Digitallydownloaded.net, reiterating what he said to us late last year: "I think over the last five years we have built up a strong and identifiable franchise, especially in the FPS area. We are now talking about what we can do in taking the Crysis franchise into a new space and do something different outside of the story we have been telling with this trilogy."

REVIEW. Written by Jonas Mäki

"Forget waiting for the next generation of graphics to appear: they're here already, and that we can thank Crytek for."
