UKIE has announced Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops has secured the Christmas number one spot atop the UK multi-format sales chart, surprising absolutely nobody. (Still, well done Treyarch.)

The FPS has sold three million units since launch last month, and along with Modern Warfare 2 and Wii Fit stands as one of the only games to top the £100 million mark in sales.

While the last few weeks has seen the holy trio of Black Ops, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit hold steady at the front-end of the chart, FIFA has surged back into the top two, obviously accelerated by the last minute purchases in the last few shopping days before Christmas. Surprisingly though Hot Pursuit held onto third place, with Brotherhood losing its grip and falling into fifth. Here's the chart in full.

The UKIE Games Chart top ten for week 50 2010

1 Call of Duty: Black Ops
2 FIFA 11
3 Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit
4 Just Dance 2
5 Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
6 Gran Turismo 5
7 Donkey Kong Country Returns
8 Medal of Honor
9 Wii Fit Plus Nintendo
10 Professor Layton and the Lost Future
