Issues for retail Walking Dead

Following reports from The Walking Dead players of severe hitching (stuttering and freezing that renders the game near unplayable), Telltale is making digital copies of the game available to those affected.

After an investigation it was revealed that only a select group of gamers had the problems with hitching. A forum post explains:

"Xbox 360 4GB models not fitted with an internal hard disk drive, playing the disc-based (retail) version of the game. This issue does NOT affect Xbox 360s fitted with an internal hard disk drive or Xbox 360 4GB (no internal hard disk drive) users playing the digital version of the game downloaded from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace."

There is a fix that involves acquiring and installing a compatible hard-drive, but for those who aren't interested in doing that, Telltale will provide a digital copy of all five episodes from Season One (though according to the initial report on Polygon, it could take up to five weeks to receive your code).
