When World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King was released, it sold 2.8 million copies during its first 24 hours. Now they've released a statement saying that World of Warcraft: Cataclysm broke that, selling 3.3 million copies in its first 24 hours (including digital pre-orders that were available through Battle.net). If you're counting, that's a lot of copies and Blizzard claim that it makes it the fastest selling PC game of all time - a record previously held by Wrath of the Lich King...
Blizzard have burned their Azeroth to the ground, only to build a new world from the ashes. Mikael Sundberg has said farewell to the old, but welcomes all the new.
