The tragic school shooting in Connecticut has brought EA and Mass Effect some unwanted attention. Apparently the person originally thought to be the shooter, 24 year-old Ryan Lanza likes Mass Effect on Facebook and Mashable.com reported how the Mass Effect facebook page was flooded with outraged people in need of something to blame. Turns out it was Ryan's younger brother Adam Lanza, 20 year-old, who was responsible for the killings.

Neither EA or Bioware have commented on the subject. And perhaps it should be pointed out that the whole idea with Mass Effect is to safe humanity and the whole galaxy from a race of sentient machines.
