While the Call of Duty franchise isn't one that strikes us one in great need of a film adaptation, there has been a lot of speculation if the biggest video game franchise around would make it across to the silver screen. However, in an interview with New York Times, Activision CEO Robert Kotick shoots down the idea while confirming interest from several movie studios.

He correctly concludes: "...movies based on video games rarely please devoted fans and could taint the brand." But that hasn't stopped a bunch of other video games from making the dreaded leap.
