We've known that Star Wars: The Old Republic was to be released next year, but not exactly when - a community rep said "spring 2011", Internet rumour machines said anything from February to 2012. At the Credit Suisse 2010 Technology Conference (which Gamasutra attended) EA CFO Eric Brown said that the game is planned to be released at some point between April and December 2011. If you like to count, that's a nine month window.

Brown said that this was the first time that EA had ever "gone on record" with their own estimates of when Star Wars: The Old Republic will hit the shelves. Fans will probably be happy to at least get confirmation that the game should be out in 2011 (this is the gaming industry, don't hold your breath), while the nine month window still gives you ample opportunity to speculate wildly about exactly when it will be out.
