First announced at BlizzCon 2016, StarCraft II's War Chest was officially revealed at WCS Valencia over the weekend, and it will go live on July 19, allowing players access to digital content as part of a seasonal program.
This digital content includes a comic, a full set of skins for all races, as well as decals, sprays, and chat emoticons, all of which are redeemable after players purchase access to the War Chest and then play multiplayer or co-op.
25% of each War Chest sale goes to supporting esports for the game, similar to Battle Passes for Dota 2, and the first $200,000 USD for the game will be boosting the prize pool for the WCS Global Finals at BlizzCon this year.
More information on War Chests can be found on the official site, but we've included some pictures of War Chest content down below. Is this an initiative you'll be investing in?
