In an interview with Destructoid, Bethesda vice president of PR and Marketing, Pete Hines, expressed how pleased the company was with the sales of Arkane Studios' recent release Dishonored.
"I can tell you that Dishonored is far exceeding our sales expectations, which is especially cool considering it's new IP facing a host of well-established franchises this quarter. We did terrific numbers again this past weekend, both in stores and on Steam, where Dishonored was listed as the #1 selling title over the holiday weekend. And Dishonored has really sold well overseas."
"So, we're very pleased and appreciate all the fans that have supported Dishonored and Arkane. We clearly have a new franchise."
So there you have it, it looks like we might see a return to the Dishonored universe in the future.
"Dishonored has stood the test of time, thanks largely to an effective plot and a rock solid combat system."
"Taken as a whole this is something rare: DLC that adds and builds on the experience in the main game, while still providing a storyline that works on its own."
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of developer Arkane Studios, a celebratory Dishonored vinyl collection is being created.
The RPG features an extensive digest book and will use the 2d20 system when it arrives this summer.
