It was a pretty undramatic press release. "EA and Lucasarts enter into new global publishing agreement for Star Wars: The Old Republic". It went on to confirm a global launch in 2011. However, the interesting part of this press release has to do with the fact that Lucasarts are handing over a lot of responsibilities to EA - and with that we assume that EA are now basically the sole publisher of the game, even if it's not clearly stated.

"With this new agreement, certain publishing, marketing and distribution responsibilities previously designated to LucasArts will shift to EA, so that all publishing, marketing and distribution responsibilities can be centralised for efficiency."

"Lucasfilm will continue serving as a key partner, collaborating on design and marketing, and as a licensor of the property."

Whoops, all of a sudden Lucasarts biggest project to date is no longer in their hands, but we assume EA had to pay a pretty penny to buy them out. There is obviously a great deal more to this story than the press release reveals.
