Ready at Dawn's Deformers hasn't had the biggest player base since it launched in April (you can read our review of it here), but the studio wants to change that this weekend, as they've announced that they will let PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One players try the game for free this weekend.

Starting tomorrow at 20:00 BST / 21:00 CEST those who download the trial version will get access to all the 44 Forms and 9 Arenas included in the game. Steam and PlayStation 4 players will also be able to check out the new Offline mode coming with the massive update that arrives tomorrow as well, and this update will also include other features and fixes players have asked for. We're not just talking bug fixes and improved matchmaking here, as the update will also implement offline couch co-op, cross-network play between PS4/PC and Xbox One/PC, new tutorials, and quick chat on consoles.

It's worth mentioning that the free version has a few restrictions though, as you'll need to have PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold to play it, and the Xbox One version will be limited to 20 hours.

Will you be dedicating your weekend to these odd-looking creatures?

REVIEW. Written by Magnus Groth-Andersen

"If you're going to make a multiplayer-centric title such as this, there needs to be strategic depth."
