Earlier this year, Kratos voice actor Christopher Judge probably made quite a few of you very excited by listing the upcoming God of War as a 2017 game over on his Twitter profile. Now he's singing a rather different tune.
The actor decided to change his profile to say that God of War will release in 2018 earlier today, before removing the update altogether a few hours later.
This actually reflects what we've heard from two sources close to Santa Monica Studio. They claim that the game was originally slated to be released later this year, but that Sony has decided to change it to early next year.
Two of the reasons for this are that they want to avoid the incredible line-up of games expected later this year, while also getting extra time to polish the game. We've been told to expect more details about the game during the PlayStation E3 Media Showcase next month.
