EA have announced that Star Wars: The Old Republic will transition to a free-to-play model on November 15.
Current subscribers are in for some perks as the game transitioned to its new business model as follows:
"Any paying subscribers at the launch of the Free-to-Play option on November 15th will be granted all of the Complimentary Cartel Coins currently listed on the Cartel Coin Ledger page, plus a one-time grant of 250 Complimentary Cartel Coins!
Additionally, the Rewards Program has been extended! All former subscribers who reactivate their subscription by the new date of December 20, 2012 at 11:59am CDT will be granted Complimentary Cartel Coins for their prior paid months up to November 15, 2012."
Non-subscribers will be able to play up to the current level cap of 50, but there will be a ticket system that limits the number of times you play Warzones and Flashpoints and some other limitations placed on non-paying players.
The rumours were true.
BioWare is reportedly dropping the MMO to focus on Dragon Age and Mass Effect.
It'll be coming in February 2022 now.
The cinematic trailers for the game are being re-released in higher quality to mark the game's tenth Anniversary.
It will be coming during Holiday 2021.
The free expansion will land in September and will add plenty of content to the MMO, including Nautolans, Onderon, and more.
