Ubisoft has announced that the second season of For Honor, called Shadow and Might, will be released on all platforms on May 16. From then the game will get two new heroes, two extra maps, new customisation items, and some gameplay updates as well. Maps and updates will be available for free to all players from the beginning of the second season, while the two new heroes - the lethal Shinobi and the aggressive Centurion - will be available on May 23. If you own the Season Pass you'll get your hands on the heroes free of charge from May 16 onwards, whereas the rest will have to wait until their release on May 23 and then unlock them with the in-game currency, Steel.

The press release describes these fighters as follows: "In the war between the three deadliest factions, Knights, Vikings and Samurai, two new heroes are preparing to descend on the battlefield:
• Shinobi (Samurai assassin) - Shinobi is a silent warrior who can move with the grace of a dancer and kill with extreme precision thanks to a lifetime of hard workouts. It holds a traditional Japanese weapon, the Kusarigama.
• Centurion (Hybrid Knight) - For the Centurion, the battlefield is like a huge chessboard. Equipped with infallible genius, the Centurion can overcome enemy defences through strategic body-to-body combat."

The two new maps, Forge and Garden of the Temple, will further expand the selection of battlefields for multiplayer experience. "Additionally, Season Two will introduce a new level of gear rarity: Epic gear, which will increase the maximum gear score along with a balancing overhaul for the entire gear stats system," the press release explains.

At the end of the first season a new update (1.06) will also be available on Windows PC to improve network stability while introducing new game options and some novelties in the hero balance. This update will also be available for consoles.
