A user on Battle.net (by the name of lalato) recently posted on the forum/site a comment about Overwatch maps and their concern that there are not enough new arenas being introduced to the game.
As is so often the case with popular threads on the Battle.net forums, Jeff Kaplan himself swooped in to respond to the question surrounding maps, and clarified that more are certainly coming.
"We currently have 3 maps in development, all past the initial playtesting phase that are "standard" maps (QP/Comp). While something could always change, all 3 of those are looking likely for a release this year," he explained. "We also have 3 non-standard maps in development (these won't go in QP/Comp)."
"We also have a few other experiments going on," he teased. "Hopefully this will satisfy some of what you're looking for. We want to play on these maps as badly as you guys do. We'll work as fast as we can!"
What would you like to see appear in Overwatch when it comes to new maps? Let us know in the comments below.
