Gamasutra have posted a list of the top ten best selling US titles of 2010 up until September according to the NPD Group. Halo: Reach only needed one month to take top honours, but Microsoft and Bungie is up against some stiff competition once Call of Duty: Black Ops launches in November.

2. New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Nintendo, Nintendo)
3. Red Dead Redemption (Rockstar San Diego, Rockstar)
4. Pokemon Soulsilver (Nintendo, Nintendo)
5. Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Nintendo, Nintendo)
6. Wii Fit Plus (Nintendo, Nintendo)
7. God of War III (Sony Santa Monica, Sony)
8. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Infinity Ward, Activision)
9. Just Dance (Ubisoft, Ubisoft)
10. Wii Sports Resort (Nintendo, Nintendo)
"The time has come for Bungie's farewell to the Halo series, and they bid farewell with the biggest and most epic chapter in the series to date."
Nothing will be lost however, as all of the news articles, forums and groups were imported into the current Bungie.net back in 2013.
Reach made its debut on PC and Xbox One in its remastered form earlier this month, and it was received well.
The classic game is almost a decade old, and has just landed on PC and Xbox for players to try out once again.
The service is expanding even further, from Overcooked 2 to The Division and plenty of other titles.
The Steam version has only just arrived, with players flooding to the Master Chief Collection to try it.
