No The Last Guardian in 2013?

Whilst we weren't necessarily expecting to see the oft delayed The Last Guardian in the very near future, we were still holding out hope for some kind of announcement.

Well, we got what we wanted, but the news isn't good, with Shuhei Yoshida confirming to a french website that the game can't be confirmed as a 2013 release. The report was posted on the NeoGaf forum, and will likely frustrate gamers who have been patiently waiting for the title.

At this rate The Last Guardian might well end up as a PS4 launch title. When asked to confirm that the game would be released in 2013 Yoshida told JeuxVideo.fr:

No, sorry, I can not say that ... Because the last time we talked about a date for The Last Guardian, we finally disappointed many people. But I can tell you that the team is working hard on the project, including the engine. It is precisely because the teams working on the technical aspect of the game that we have nothing concrete to show you today. So now I'm waiting for the right time to introduce you to The Last Guardian and speak with confidence of a release date.
