Sega's free-to-play Phantasy Star Online has reached one million registered players since its launch three months ago in Japan. And while the free-to-play scene often sports obscene registered player numbers - this is certainly a strong showing in Japan. The game is heading to Western markets ealry next year, and there are also plans for Android, iPhone and PS Vita versions.
