Naughty Dog founder, CEO, and the daddy of Crash Bandicoot Jason Rubin has spoken about the state of Naughty Dog before they sold to Sony and then afterwards, and Jason seems pretty certain of the fact that without Sony's ownership, neither the Uncharted series or The Last of Us would ever have been made, a terrible thought we know.
Here's what he had to say: "Sony has been incredible good to Naughty Dog. It made sense. Our relationship with Sony was already so intertwined and magical and amazing that certainties for both parties made a lot of sense. It was the right decision for Naughty Dog. Look where Naughty Dog is today. As an independent, I don't think Naughty Dog could have done that. I don't think you'd have these games."
"Sony has been incredible to Naughty Dog, always giving them the assets that they need to compete," he added. "Most people don't realise but quite often a game is won because a game got more budget. It's bigger, badder, it's cooler because it got more budget."
