DICE has talked a lot about Battlefield 1's multiplayer component, but today they're finally ready to discuss the single-player campaign as well.
This new trailer reconfirms that we won't be experiencing the story through one solider. Battlefield 1's story will let us see the war through multiple persons' eyes, each with their own background and skills. The Swedish studio has also taken a few cues from their popular multiplayer, and made the missions more open in terms of structure. They want us to be able to improvise, which will hopefully lead to better replay value.
We'll also meet historical figures during our travels, including Lawrence of Arabia. It'll be interesting to see how he and the other well known figures of The Great War are depicted in the game. Some games have included real people before, with mixed results.
How do you like DICE's new approach to single-player?
