Respawn has just confirmed that there'll be no cross-platform play in Titanfall 2 when the sci-fi shooter lands on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 28.

During a recent forum Q&A (and as reported by GamingBolt), producer Drew McCoy explained why the frame-rate on the PC version is locked down at 144 FPS: "We can investigate slightly higher framerates, but in initial testing we ran in to some issues with incredibly high framerates."

McCoy didn't explain exactly what those issues were, but he did confirm that there were no plans for cross-platform play between players on console and PC: "As much as I personally think cross-platform play would be awesome, it unfortunately will not be in the game at this time."
