The Division's Public Test Server for PC users officially opens its doors today. On the public test server, the players can find all the content of October's update 1.4, and they will also be allowed to test various new features in the game. Among these there are new World Levels balanced for Gear Score and various difficulties, as well as certain changes relating to the balancing of weapons and enemies and new loot items. Random encounters with patrol bosses will make a return too.

To access the Public Test Server you need to find The Division PTS in "My Games" on Uplay or "Library" on Steam. From here, you can download the client, approximately 45 GB. All the saves for PTS will be stored separately from the main game and your standard character can't be transferred to the PTS, but you need to create a new one with level 30. The early days of testing will focus on World Tiers and the opportunity to continue to Tier 1 in Tier 4.

Will you be trying out the Public Test Server?

"We're still early in 2016, but we've already made room for The Division in our game of the year list."
