Capcom's Ryozo Tsujimoto went on the Nintendo Direct stream today and confirmed Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate - a new version of the extremely popular game (in Japan, at least) - that will hit Wii U in Europe in March next year.
One of the more impressive features is that it will feature cross platform functionality with Monster Hunter Tri G (renamed Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for Europe and due out on the same date) on Nintendo 3DS. The games will allow you to use the same save files on both systems. Online play was also confirmed. No word on whether Nintendo will mimic Sony's cross-buy initiative for PS Vita and PS3 yet - but nonetheless this is exciting news.
