It looks like we now know who the villain of the upcoming Batman solo movie. It began with actor and director Ben Affleck putting out a cryptic tweet clearly showing the character Deathstroke, aka Slade Wilson, in all his glory. It's unclear wether this little snippet of a clip was from the movie or if it was test footage.

As Affleck didn't actually write anything to go along with the clip, fans started speculating about what it might have meant. Would Deathstroke be a part of the Justice League movie? Would he get his own film, or would he take on the bat in the Batman movie?

It turns out that the latter is true, at least according to The Wrap who claim to have inside sources confirming it. As of now it's unknown who will play the character.

Deathstroke was created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez and made his debut in "The New Teen Titans" #2 in 1980 but didn't have his first encounter with Batman himself until 1991. The legendary mercenary assassin also had a major role in the 2013 game Batman: Arkham Origins, which may have been the introduction to him for many of us gamers.
