Last week we were told that "major" Dark Souls III news is set to be revealed this week. Most think that From Software is going to reveal their DLC plans for the game, and it seems like those theories are correct.
First several Japanese gaming magazines, including Famitsu (thanks esuteru), revealed that there are two expansions on the way. Each will cost ¥1,200 (around £12 / $15), with a "season pass" bundle of both costing ¥2,000 (around £19 / 24.99$).
Apparently the images show a new PvP area called "Immortal Competition", a new, unnamed snowy environment, new weapons, armour and spells.
Then PlayStation's official Twitter account got a bit to eager on the publishing button, and revealed that the first expansion, Ashes of Ariandel, will launch on October 25. Unfortunately the trailer is still set to private, so we'll probably not see it in action till tomorrow.
