Doom is being turned into a board game

If you're a fan of video games and more traditional board games alike, then we have some interesting news for you. In the wake of id's new Doom game, Fantasy Flight Games have now decided to design an old-school board game based on Bethesda's best-seller (update: it's not the first time, Fantasy Flight Games did something similar for Doom back in 2004).

The plan is to build a tactical game for 2-5 players, where you pick a card to receive missions to be carried out on maps filled with demons and monsters.

Further details have not been revealed as yet, but the plan is to release the Doom board game later this year. From the looks of the images attached below, they've come quite a long way already:
