A copy of Resident Evil 6, likely one of a batch of recently stolen copies of the game, has landed on Ebay.

The Ebay listing explains that the game was bought from a retailer, and is available to the highest bidder almost a month before its general release. According to reports, several copies of the game were bought by gamers in Poznan, Poland, after a retailer started selling the game. And it looks like one opportunistic gamer is looking to cash in on their copy of the much anticipated zombie survival horror title.

Capcom spoke to CVG, saying: "Capcom is currently undertaking a thorough investigation into reports that Resident Evil 6 is being sold ahead of its official October 2 release date. At this time, all we can add is that it would appear this unfortunate incident is limited to a small quantity of stolen copies of the German USK PlayStation 3 version of the game."

"No Hope Left" could be the motto for Resident Evil fans predicting the armageddon of the series, rather than the advertising campaign for Resident Evil 6 teasing the in-game global apocalypse to come.
