Aliens: Colonial Marines - Escape

Sega and Gearbox have announced a new competitive multiplayer mode for next year's anticipated sci-fi shooter, Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Escape has two four man teams, one made up of Colonial Marines and the other consisting of pesky Xenomorphs, taking each other in a series of fast-paced encounters.

The premise of the new multiplayer mode focuses on the Marines pushing through each level trying make good their escape, with the team of Xenomorphs aiming to stop them as quickly as possible. It sounds like the kind of IP-specific online mode that will appeal to fans of the franchise, and should help ACM standout from the swarm of shooters coming out in the next six months.

Aliens: Colonial Marines is set to be released on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC on February 12, but as yet a release date for the Wii U version of the game has not been announced.
