We met up with Gearbox Software's chief creative officer Brian Martel at Gamescom to learn more about the Mechromancer, launch preparations, and just about anything you'd want to know about Borderlands 2. Speaking on how to maintain game balance with a fifth character classes introduced (Mechromancer) Martel had the following to say:
"We keep it in mind like the same way we do with the all four characters, we're obviously go through those four and figuring out how they relate to eachother in doing the skill tree. So, one of the things we do is the person who's responsible for the main design for all of the skill trees and all that, Jonathan Hemingway, is working on the skill tree for this character as well. So she's still being worked on, but he's keeping in mind everything that he did on helping to refine all the classes and so that really helps."
