If you've ever played Doom, you'll surely know what we mean when we talk about the legendary and iconic BFG, and you'll also probably appreciate what we're about to show you.
The most famous weapon in the series developed by id Software has now become reality. Well, almost. You see, Bethesda commissioned MyMiniFactory to make a 1:1 replica. The company, which specialises in 3D printer technology, made it using in-game weapon files in order to ensure that it looks as accurate as possible.
Thanks to modern 3D printer technology and over 70 individual pieces, the BFG is now a reality. It seems it took about 1000 hours of 3D printing to make it happen, and the models had to be printed continuously on multiple printers for about a month.
The result is an amazing replica weapon that's over three feet long, 18" in height, 18" in width and weighs 12kg. Take a look at the pictures below:
