We caught up with Navin Kumar from the Xbox Accessories division to learn more about the Xbox Design Lab initiative, and the new Xbox One controller that's launching alongside Xbox One S in August.

The Xbox Design Lab initiative will begin shipping in September to those who have pre-ordered, but for now it is only available in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

"We look forward to bring Xbox Design Lab to more and more markets," says Kumar. "We're starting with US, Canada and Puerto Rico this holiday. And in 2017 we're going to be expanding to more markets, and we're actively looking at European markets as well. Part of the challenge is just get it logistically up and running, making sure that the services we are offering we're able to delight our fans in markets around the world. And we're just kind of starting in a few countries and just like Xbox is available in many, many markets worldwide we're hopeful that Xbox Design Lab will also be available in more countries to come."

Kumar also touched on compatibility with Project Scorpio and beyond, the improvements on the new controller, and the partnership with SCUF that will see customisation options for the Xbox One Elite Controller.
