It often feels like Troy Baker is everywhere when it comes to video game voice overs. A quick scan of his IMDb page reveals precisely why this is the case; he's an extremely prolific voice actor. Baker has, however, recently expressed his desire not to oversaturate the market that has brought him such prominence.

"I don't want to be in every game," Baker told Twinfinite, a statement that'll no doubt give aspiring voice over actors hope. "I don't want to oversaturate the market with myself, so there are times when I go, 'yeah, we're going to have to pass on this', but what that does is it gives [me] the opportunity to really give all of [my] energy into the projects that I am attached to."

It's not just Baker who passes on jobs. According to the actor, there's a number of his peers that do the same, especially when there's somebody better suited to a particular role.

"There's projects we get approached with that either are repeating a beat or something that we've done before, or honestly I feel like there's someone who could do it better," he told the site. "I'm not alone in this, there's several people - Nolan [North]'s done this, Travis Willingham, Laura Bailey, Roger Craig Smith."

It's been a busy time for Baker of late, with some high profile appearances this year along (Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is already in the bag and Batman - A Telltale Games Series is still to come). However, it sounds like there's a lot more on the way, after the actor teased some E3 announcements that never materialised.

"There was a lot that was supposed to be revealed at E3 and then everyone decided to wait. Very soon we'll be able to know about these projects but I was glad to at least get some of the steam off by Telltale announcing Batman."
