Gillen caught up with Matthew Bromberg, General Manager at Bioware Austin to discuss the transformation of Star Wars: The Old Republic to a hybrid free-to-play model.

With so much discussion online about the state of The Old Republic and the decision to go free-to-play with a hybrid model later this fall, Bromberg had the following to say:

"There is a lot that has been said. But we're appreciative that there is so much passion about the game that there is a lot of talk. I mean the only bad thing is when noone talks about you, then that's boring. So we're happy about that."

On keeping the road map ahead with updates:

"What we want to commit to doing is new updates to the game every six weeks, a new war zone, a new operation, a new flashpoint, a new event, things that keep the game really vibrant and content that's focused on group. So playing things with other people is really sort of the core of keeping gamers happy."
