Gamescom saw another major announcement today as Ubisoft unveiled their new PC digital distribtion platform, Uplay PC.

Like rival sites Steam and Origin, Uplay will act as a central hub for gamers to purchase and play games. To celebrate the launch of their new service, Ubisoft are selling some titles for as little as £1, with others heavily discounted. For a limited time only, of course.

"Uplay PC is a great way for customers to discover Ubisoft's games, connect with their friends and gaming communities, and win achievements and content that's not available anywhere else." said Stephanie Perotti from Ubisoft.

"For PC gamers that are already fans of Ubisoft's titles or have been considering trying some of our classics, this promotion is a great deal, and our way of saying thank you for their support."

Driver: San Francisco, From Dust, Silent Hunter 5 and Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2 are all available for £1 (these games will be appearing at this price one at a time). Anno 2070, Assassin's Creed II (plus Brotherhood and Revelations), Might & Magic: Heroes VI and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction are all discounted up to 75%.

To sign up and buy some cheap games, head this way.
