We caught up with Jonatan Crafoord from That Brain to learn more about their steampunk adventure set in the skies - 20,000 Leagues Above the Clouds.

"It's a steampunk adventure," says Crafoord of the game. "In a world among flying islands you're the captain of an airship with your crew and you fly between the different flying islands, landing in skyports, talking to all kinds of weird characters who give you missions. And there is also a bit of trading and upgrading of your ship, etc."

"We've been working on it on and off," says Crafoord of the development that has lasted four years already. "We're financing it all out of our own pockets. So we've been freelancing for a lot of other game developers. Just to pay for it. Actually a huge chunk of the time in between has gone to developing Angry Birds 2, which some of our team members were part of. But now we're dedicated to working on this full-time for a while."

In terms of platforms Crafoord reveals that they are talking to Microsoft and Sony, but that Steam is of course a great option as well. But no firm decisions has been made in regards to platforms. There is no release date set, clearly it all depends on how development goes and if there's money to keep the team working on the game, but it will be out "eventually" promises Crafoord.
