In the latest financial report from Namco Bandai it is stated that 1.38 million copies of Soul Calibur V were shipped since its launch and up until June 30. This can be compared to Soul Calibur IV that sold 2.3 million in its first 8 months. A bit of a decline in other words, and as always shipped numbers does not equal the number of games that have actually been sold to consumers.
Is Soul Calibur losing its appeal or is the fighting genre struggling to live up to older sales figures on the back on the massive success that was Street Fighter IV.
