This week the narrative driven exploration game Firewatch was finally released, but for the PlayStation 4 version high praise has been accompanied by reports of numerous technical issues.
The frame-rate often struggles, there's texture pop-in (and out), and save game corruption is sadly a common occurrence.
With that said, work has already started to rectify the situation. On Reddit Sean Vanaman from developer Campo Santo explains that a patch for some minor tweaks is on its way, and that a collaboration with Sony and Unity (the engine the game was made with) has started in order to find a swift solution to the technical issues.
Why this effort was not made before the actual release, is of course an entirely different question...
