Following plenty of speculation following the announcement that beta invites for Battlefield 4 will be received with Medal of Honor: Warfighter, DICE community manager Ian Tornay took to Reddit to clarify some issues.

First of all, Medal of Honor: Warfighter will not be the only way to secure a beta invite, for now, however, it's the only way to be 100% sure. Tornay, also notes that while the beta will hit fall 2013, there is no release date for Battlefield 4, but that it will naturally be released after the beta. He also noted that there are several teams at DICE and that support for Battlefield 3 including the upcoming expansions will continue according to plan.

Tornay also commented on the criticism that Battlefield 4 comes too soon:

"We've been seeing a lot of concerns about the pacing of release (i.e. "only" two years after BF3). I think it's worth noting that DICE has released a Battlefield game every two years or sooner AND Mirror's Edge at least every two years. I truly believe that we're in one of the best positions to be creating our next title - Frostbite 2 has matured, we've been gathering fan feedback like crazy, Battlefield 3 continues to expand with features which we can learn from, and we've got more data about how people play than ever."

"No one will leave this game disappointed, unless your focus is the single-player mode."
