No Metal Gear Solid 5 shown

After allowing speculation to run rampant for a few hours yesterday Konami put an end to it, but flat out denying that anything from Metal Gear Solid 5 was shown at Comic-Con. The KonamiUK account that yesterday played it coy, posted the following tweet, confirming that the person responsible for the fake images had been contacted.

"Seriously, just in case the pinch salt hashtags weren't enough - the chap who claims to have set up the fake rumours has been in touch."

A clever fake, but Comic-Con is not typically the place where secret stuff is being shown off behind closed doors, and we can now put the rumours to rest.
