Earlier this week it was confirmed that Tecmo Koei will not be bringing their controversial volleyball game, Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, to western markets.

The decision, made by the company and not a sanction imposed by any ratings board, has left some fans of the series unhappy that they won't get to play the game due to Tecmo Koei's reluctance to launch such a scantily clad title in the current climate.

Among those thinking that it's a missed opportunity are HuniePot, the developers of dating sim HuniePop. They, however, reckon they might be in a position to do something about it, and have made a rather public offer to Tecmo Koei over on Twitter.

The dating sim creators are offering $1 million USD for the rights to publish the game in the US. That's probably not going to be enough to convince the publisher to do business, especially because the decision not to publish is a political one, and not economic.

As far as we can tell the offer was made publicly and not through official channels, and Tecmo Koei is yet to respond (at least on Twitter - you'd expect any communication from here on in to take place behind closed doors). If there's any developments we'll keep you informed.
