According to Gamepro, Konami polled the attending people at a press event if they'd be interested in a version of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for PSN with support for online multiplayer. So it's not a confirmation in any way.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, the actual game, will be released for PSP in June.
