Sony has launched the PlayStation Now service in the UK. PlayStation Now is compatible with all current PlayStation consoles (PS4, PS3 and PS Vita) and lets you enjoy a range of over 100 PS3 games (including Uncharted and The Last of Us) via streaming from the cloud. There is also a selection of even older games available, such as the PS2 classic Shadow of the Colossus.

To gain access to the service you will have to pay £12.99 per month, but there is a free trial period lasting one week. The service also requires a stable and decent internet connection, obviously. Your connection will be tested upon attempting to sign up to the service.

Apart form the game not running from your console, the experience should be the same as playing the games on the original hardware. Beware however, if you remain idle for too long, you will be kicked out of your game to make room on the server for others.

Note also that you will automatically be charged £12.99 once your free trial period is over, unless you manually turn off the renewal feature. If you don't feel the full library is worth shelling out £12.99 for, individual games can rented for £2.99 a piece.

Thanks, Eurogamer.
