HMV list 3DS XL price

HMV will price the upcoming Nintendo 3DS XL handheld at £179.99, according to a report.

HMV told CVG of their intentions, preempting other specialist retailers like GAME with their £179.99 price tag.

Amazon, Play.com and ShopTo have all listed the console at similar price points (near £180). CVG reported that Zavvi.com had opted for a £210.00 price point, though the lower costs of rival retailers has inspired the site to undercut the lot; they're now offering pre-orders for the handheld at £167.95.

The Nintendo 3DS XL is set to be released in Europe on July 28.
