I knew I should have gone to law school and picked my clients in the games industry. Following the drama we reported on earlier today, Jason West and Vince Zampella have now announced that they have formed a brand new studio - Respawn Entertainment - and that they have signed with EA Partners.

Jason West is quoted as saying that they are excited, and that now that "the team is in control of the games and brands, we can ensure that the fans are treated as well as they deserve." Take that, Activision?

EA Partners's Frank Gibeau is quoted as well, saying that "Jason and Vince are two of the top creative leaders in the entertainment industry. At EA, we're honored to be their partners and to give them the support they need to hire a team and return to making incredible games."

Drama bomb! Good thing that West and Zampella weren't involved in talks with EA before they left Infinity Ward, because if they were this wouldn't look too good considering the lawsuit against them. Or...? What? Huh? Uh oh...
