Even though positive previews from various press have silenced some of the debate, EA and developer DICE still feels the need to clarify that Star Wars Battlefront shares nothing more than a similar sounding name with the Battlefield series.

This has been a controversial topic ever since it was announced that Star Wars Battlefront would not feature a singleplayer mode, but according to its makers the similarities between the few are few and far apart nonetheless. In fact, General Manager Patrick Bach from Dice has told The Official PlayStation Magazine that the two games don't share a single system within it's gameplay or source code:

"I don't think we have a single system in the game that is the same as in Battlefield. They are as far apart as any shooter would be to any other shooter. I think people will be surprised that it's even a DICE game in some cases, but I think that the quality of the game and the quality of the audio, the visuals, the emotion it evokes will hopefully feel very DICE."

Star Wars Battlefront is scheduled for release on November 17th, for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
